Grocery shopping for your lifestyle
The modern city-dwelling young professional lives a fast-paced, spontaneous lifestyle. When it comes to meals they look for fast and delicious options often eating out feeling the extra cost is worth avoiding the struggle of carrying home bags of groceries on public transportation just to spend hours planning, prepping and cooking meals. While they are interested in living a healthy lifestyle, they would rather invest their time into work than nutritional education.
Sole is a boutique grocery experience catered towards young, on-the-go professionals in cities. Selling only high-quality, single-serving ingredients Sole combats the inconvenience of classic bulk shopping in the city while encouraging healthy, structured eating habits meant to compliment, rather than alter, the fast-paced lifestyle of many young professionals.
Consumers can purchase individually portioned ingredients as they would in a classic grocery store, or they can use Sole's recipe data-base to pick healthy, balanced meals aligned with their dietary preferences as a nutrituon and shopping guide.
Sole’s overall branding for the store is a neutral dark gray which showcases the bright colors representing meal components. The main food groups– protein, grains, dairy, and vegetables (produce)– as well spices and seasonings each have their own textured color allowing consumers to tell at a glance whether or not their baskets contain all the components of a nutritiously balanced meal.
Textures were created from layering products within the color's food group.
Discover delicious recipes in-store or on the app
Encouraging a recipe-centric shopping experience, interactive screens are placed throughout the store allowing shoppers to search for meals and ingredient lists. When they find something appetizing consumers can sync their phone and view it on their app, or simply text the shopping list and recipe to themselves.
The personal mobile application lets users create a custom profile to include dietary restrictions, favorite meals, collect reward points, and save a history of past purchases allowing for more customized meal options. Through the app, users can also order and pay ahead, selecting the best time to simply pickup their freshly assembled ingredients on the way home.
While screens will be available for finding meals and creating lists in store, Sole’s recipe-centric shopping experience can be customized for each user on the mobile app.
Adding dietary restrictions allows for recipes to be tailored to consumers tastes and payment options allows for users to order ahead. All purchases sync at checkout for quick reference.
Users can search for recipes by title, ingredients, cuisine, or meals they have enjoyed in the past. Upon opening each category the app will make popular recommendations based off users past choices.
Consumers can order ahead designating a location and custom pick-up time. They will receive text alerts for confirmation, when pick-up is ready, as well as a link to the recipe they chose.
